Cameron hayden
Fascinated by the world around him, Cameron Hayden is a composer who seeks to learn more about himself and the natural world through his music. He believes that music is a uniquely powerful storytelling medium, one that is immensely personal not only to the composers themselves, but to every person who listens and performs.
Cameron cherishes the ability to converse and collaborate with fellow musicians and works with performers to write music that is idiomatic and organic. His work has granted him the opportunity to study abroad in Paris, France, through the European American Musical Alliance, where he studied with Dr. Philip Lasser. His work has also been featured in a masterclass led by composers Ingrid Laubrock and Ikue Mori.
Born and raised in central Ohio, Cameron moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to study with Dr. Kati Agócs at the New England Conservatory of Music, where he graduated in 2025. He is currently based in central Michigan, where he continues to work with performers, surrounded by the greenery he so admires.
